Chicken Fajita

Fajitas, in Tex-Mex cuisine, are strips of grilled skirt steak cooked with onions and peppers and served on a tortilla, later also made with chicken, seafood and vegetables. The word is a diminutive of the Spanish 'faja', a strip or belt, and according to the Oxford English Dictionary it is not known to have appeared in print before 1971.
